A member of Letterkenny Riding Club has won a super prize of trip to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games next month.

Damien Gallagher, a farrier from Co. Donegal, was one of the thousands of people who entered the Gain Horse Feeds competition.

Dressage times for Sunday's TRI Equestrian Horse Trials Championship Qualifier at Marguerite Lodge in Kilteel, Co. Kildare have been published.

They are available to view here.  Competitors are asked to take junction 6 off the dual carriageway (M7 / N7) as it will be signposted from there.

Gardai are seeking the publics assistance in locating a stolen horse box from a yard near Tyrellstown Co. Dublin or Kilbride Co. Meath area sometime between Thursday 8th July to Sunday 11th July.

Although it is believed that the box was there on Saturday morning and believe the incident may have occured on Saturday night (11th July).

Rachel Woollett has completed a 70 mile on the eve of her seventieth birthday

The Ballinasloe member completed the task, in aid of cancer research through the Irish Cancer Society, in just under 11 hours.

The coming months are shaping up nicely for the South West region with many clubs hosting a good variety of competitions, training & social gatherings.

For the second year in a row both Dalysgrove's Donna Murray riding Troy at primary level and Marjorie Hardiman riding Creganna Clover for Tonabrockey at intermediate, won out their respective league titles.

Hardiman was also joint first in the Intermediate and above dressage to music at the final round of the Saoirse Saddlery sponsored league.

Calliaghstown Riding Cub has postponed its show which was due to take place on Easter Monday (5th April 2010).

The club says it will reschedule the event shortly.
