Championship Qualifiers:
These classes will be run in American Style. This means that competitors who jump a clear round will jump off against the clock or for the optimum time in their second round.

Up to 16 riders from each qualifier will go forward to the championship final. Additional places may be allocated in the final on the grounds of equality of penalties. However those who are eliminated or retire will not go forward to the final.

Penalties will NOT carry forward to the final.

Championship Finals:
Competitors who jump a clear round will be called back for a jump-off round to determine the placings.

Derby Competitions:
Placings will be determined by the rider with the lowest penalties in the quickest time.

Accumulator (Optimum Time) Classes:
Points are awarded as follows: one point for obstacle number one not knocked down, two points for number two (2), three points for number three (3), etc. No point is awarded for an obstacle knocked down.

The rider with the most points and nearest to the optimum time will be declared the winner. In the event of equality of first place, a jump-off will take place using optimum time.

For the last obstacle of the course, an alternative obstacle may be provided, of which one element may be designated the Joker. The Joker will be more difficult than the alternative obstacle and carry double points. If the Joker is knocked down, these points must be deducted from the total points obtained so far by the rider.
