Members reminded of responsibilities over drug rules

Members are being reminded to familiarise themselves with the banned substance list as doping tests for athletes maybe carried out by Sport Ireland at any national event.

Under the rules of the Association, Members must comply with Sport Ireland’s human anti-doping rules as they are liable to be tested for prohibited substances.

Horse Sport Ireland

For those who are using medication for therapeutic reasons, you must check the list of prohibited substances and apply for an exemption from Horse Sport Ireland.

Members are also reminded of their obligations under the anti-doping rules for horses and members are urged to seek veterinary advice before using any medication during and before any competition.
